The “Fungi In The News” section is a staple of the Potomac Sporophore, the quarterly newsletter of the Mycological Association of Washington, DC.

Here, I summarize fungi-related stories that made headlines from October 2019-January 2020 for the Winter 2020 issue.

This issue (published February 2020) was also the first issue I published as head Newsletter Editor.
